Dope drive was developed keeping in mind the taste of bass players. Distortion and drive in low frequency regions are very tricky to handle and they go quite out of control. Normally one finds drive either very thin or very buzzy.

Dope drive address this problem by carefully selecting the clipping sections by a practical approach. We tried and tested various clipping techniques and selected one which sounded best in terms of dynamics, tightness, crunch and sustain. While doing do we also kept in mind the higher frequency regions and made sure the unit is capable to handle entire bass & normal guitar frequency range.

Dope Drive is an UNIVERSAL Distortion Effect Unit.

The another excellent feature of the unit is the blend control employing a JFET stage which give option to blend the distortion and clean signal at any proportion with the Blend knob.

Overdrives & Distortions are some of the very defining and building blocks of a Rig and as the saying goes, “there is nothing new under the sun“, the building blocks of these effects are nothing but a preamp circuit with clipping stage. Our philosophy of focusing on fundamentals made us to employ the minimalist approach to retain as much dynamics & guitar interaction as possible with the effect unit.

The design of dope drive took inspiration from classic vintage Muffs which defined the rock era. We took our usual HiFi approach and upgraded the circuit by using precision & hand selected components.

In front of a tube amp, and even a solid state amp, you can get an unmatched huge sound experience. The high quality circuit & low noise components keep the pedal ultra quiet and high grade sheet metal enclosure shields from interferences.

The amount of singing sustain delivered by the unit is phenomenal and when pushed further by a compressor, overdrive or linear boost it gives you unbelievable experience, only heard to be believed.

The unit features extremely versatile 2 tone controls, the tone control knob & a toggle switch to select 2 subtle mid boosts.

One very distinguishing feature of the pedal is despite being a high gain unit it is the quietest distortion we have ever made or compared across. The credit goes to the selection of high precision, audiophile grade, hand-selected components and hand-wired as per best practices.

Check out the demo video to get the feel of it, however and aural experience in our opinion is something which can only be experienced in full when you do it live.
